Our house is a single story ranch house built in 1986.
I never, ever thought I'd buy a ranch house. I hated ranch homes. I have always dreamed of an old farmhouse with a wrap-around porch my whole life. New England is the perfect place to find an old farm house. But, I saw a photo of the view from the back deck and I was intrigued:
This is the view at sunset in summer. How amazing is that?
I knew I was home as soon as I stepped into this house. It's the perfect size for us, 3 bedrooms,2 baths, living room,family room, dining room, nice kitchen, and a full walk out basement. My office is in the basement, which is partially finished. However, I never use my office, because I am always upstairs interacting with the kids! It's kinda turned into my craft room- and one day, a guest room.
Our house was move in ready. Clean, but boring. Very boring. No charm, other than the view. But it had potential- LOTS of potential.
