The last ceiling is being painted as I type! It’s the large vaulted one, and it scares the PANTS off me, so I asked the excellent carpenter Tony to help me out… and he agreed to climb up the scaffolding and paint it. It’s looking awesome, and I’ll post some photos later. The ceiling fan will be hung tomorrow, then I’ll be done.
As excited as I am to have everything done (except the trim, which to me is totally doable) I am also counting my many, many blessings. My hearts breaks for the people of Japan. All I can offer to the Japanese people is my heartfelt prayers. I see the devastation in Japan, I am thankful I have a sound house to be working on. I am thankful for the food I can make to feed my family. I an thankful to have my family around me, safe from harm. And I am thankful for all that I have.
