I did it.

I hated doing it, but I made an appointment with Dr. Chi at Sloan Kettering  for a check-up. I suspect that there is a little something going on, and I hate making the appointment, the thought of going, and most importantly, the thought of something going on.

I hate owing Sloan Kettering over $12,000 for a quick, outpatient surgery. That is AFTER my insurance paid.

Oh, and while I'm in the City, I am having a Cat Scan angioplasty. I was having these none specific chest pains, so I mentioned them to my new Doctor. She sent me for a nuclear stress test, and it came out fine, just one little glitch. I shared the results with Dave's cardiologist, who recommended further testing.  Wonderful. So, I asked him which test he would send his wife to. The CAT Scan angioplasty, for sure. At least it's non-invasive. It's also not covered by my insurance. Cripes, another $800. I was just bitching to my loopies that its sick that health care cost so much. I'm lucky to have great doctors around me, but unlucky to not be able to afford it.

I'm pretty discouraged today. Please send prayers. I know that He will not give me more than I can handle, but I wonder at my own strength sometimes.  I keep singing  Taize chants in my head, but it's not helping today.
